Tummy Time

Ok, I'll admit it. Life with a newborn isn't always that exciting. In a typical 12-hour day, Bronwynn spends about 4 hours nursing, 3-4 hours napping, about an hour fussing because she's hungry or tired, and maybe an hour enduring diaper changes...that only leaves a couple of hours to entertain us and learn new skills. So, as you can imagine, "tummy time" is a huge event in her day.

She's learning to hold her head up nicely as you can see here. She's also trying to roll over these days...stay tuned!!. video

Cindy Lou Who

Kris thinks Bronwynn looks like Cindy Lou Who in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." What do you think??

Silent Night

All is calm. All is bright! Yes, friends, Bronwynn gave us an early Christmas gift. She's sleeping through the night! She's done it three times now--going down at 10ish and waking up at 5 or 6am. I'm still in the habit of waking around 3 am, but hopefully I'll get used to her sleeping and will enjoy a full night's rest very soon.

She also enjoys cuddling and snoozing with the family in the mornings, as you can see from this photo :)

2 months old

I can't believe two months have passed already (isn't that the mantra of every new parent??). Baby Bronwynn (BB) is tipping the scales at 11 pounds and seems to reveal a new aspect of her personality every day. This week Kris learned that she likes to dance to Neil Young and Simon & Garfunkel--calms her right down when she's fussy. Guess we have a little hippie on our hands :) She can focus on objects across the room now and loves to look at Christmas lights, and today she enjoyed watching our friends' kids play at a local museum.

What's so funny??

Wynn started laughing last week (6 weeks) and we finally caught it on film! She loves to smile and laugh at the monkey on her bouncy seat. And occasionally she'll laugh at our silly faces too.

Kamikaze Kris

Thanksgiving is all about togetherness, family...and skydiving??!? In our family, that seems to be the case! Thanks to a challenge from Ronnie and Uncle Don, both veteran divers, several family members took the plunge over Atlanta the day after Thanksgiving. Kris was among the brave few and describes it as one of the most thrilling experiences of his life. Gina and Bronwynn watched him land safely, which was equally thrilling (well, maybe not equally...but they were thrilled he was safe and that he had a good time). Here are some shots of Kris and Rob, who were on the same jump.
